What is the Latino Alumni Community Book?
The Latino Alumni Community Book consists of a collection of contact information and personal updates from over 1,200undergraduate and graduate alumni who have identified themselves to Stanford as being of Latino descent (which includes Hispanic, Mexican, Chicano/Latino, and Latin American ancestry). These updates will be shared with Latino undergraduate and graduate alumni who are members of the SLAA via a password-protected website as a way to reconnect the community with one another, create new connections with alumni in your area, and provide additional networking opportunities for 2020. If you are not a member of SLAA, sign up to become a member.
Impacting Current Latino Students
The book will become a resource to those who wish to begin networking and searching for internships and job opportunities. We also hope to create a feeling of familia for these students because today, more than ever, communities everywhere must support one another.
In it's third year, we hope this book contributes to building a greater sense of community for our Latino alumni and students. We'll learn who we are, where we live, and what we are doing.
